100 by 2022 Initiative

Zero Waste Providence has relaunched"100 by 2022".

Let's get 100 Providence restaurants composting by 2022! With our partners we are educating the general public and restaurant owners on issues of food waste in landfills and what it truly means for a business to compost. We are encouraging the general public to ask their restaurant "Do you compost?", and to write positive reviews to those that already do. Finally, we are celebrating the restaurants that are already committed to composting their food scraps by highlighting them through articles, our social media outlets, and talking about them at community events. Be on the look-out for our "WE COMPOST" sticker on storefronts and menus of restaurants that already compost.
