10/3/19 meeting overview:
BAGS:
-Bag Bill goes into effect October 22nd!
-Find ZWP 10/19 from 9am-11am for a Reusable Bag Handout at Providence Stop & Shop
-Rhode Island Food Bank has kindly donated 450 bags for ZWP to help keep the bag swap supply! Thank you RI Food Bank!
-ZWP is hosting a “Sew-In” to make and decorate reusable bags! Keep an eye out for details!
COMPOSTING (ZWP has a Composting Sub Group! If interested, ask us when next meeting date is [subcommittee meets at different times]):
-"100 by 2020" goal of getting 100 restaurants composting by the end of 2020. We now have 38 restaurants composting!
-Compostable sticker for composting restaurants to display COMING SOON!
-Ask your favorite restaurants if they compost. If they already do, let ZWP know so we can add them to our growing list!
OUTREACH & UPCOMING PLANS:
-Planning and prepping for Styrofoam Ban campaign (ask about how you can be involved)
